When It's Sizzling Hot, Cool Down With Sorbet!

Today it reached 42c (107.6f). It was HOT.

There is no better time to turn to frozen fruits to cool off, feel nourished and get through the day!

This feels like a treat while it gives your body everything it needs. You can use any frozen fruits you like. I find bananas (peeled and frozen) and mangoes (diced with skin and pits removed) are great bases because they provide a creamy, sweet texture. But there are no rules. Try what you like and see what works.

I use a Blendec blender with a twister jar which is a smaller jar that has a lid you can turn while the blender runs so the ingredients fall down towards the blade. If you use a normal jar, you will have to run the blender, stop, scrape down the fruit repeatedly until you get a creamy consistency.

This is just fruit, no need to add sugar, dairy or anything else. Some delicious additions are frozen raspberres, strawberries amd passionfruit. The possibilities are endless. And the best part, it is so easy and fast!

This makes one serving.  Treat yourself!

Banana, Mango and Pineapple Sorbet

1 frozen banana

1/4 cup frozen mango pieces

1/4 cup frozen pineapple slices

Method

Slice the frozen banana and add to a twister jar. Add the mango and pineapple slices on top. Secure the twister jar lid. Run the blender on the ice cream setting for 1 minute while turning the lid as the blender runs.

Scoop out your ice cream in to a bowl and enjoy!
